Best of all, the dollhouse will keep your children engaged as they try to arrange and rearrange things and listen to sounds their actions create. The great thing about this dollhouse is that it folds up for easy storage in between play sessions. There’s no need to worry about parts or pieces laying around, which can be a hazard. Like the Loving Family Dreamhouse, this one is durable for starters, which is a definite perk when kids are at an age when no toy is safe from destruction. But on top of this, the house keeps kids engaged with lights, sounds, music and more. It educates them, too, by helping them learn about different parts of the home. The kitchen is on the bottom left side of the home, and this is where a lot of the light and sound action takes place.
But given the price, we’d have to say that the sights, sounds and lights are more than sufficient. The Surprise & Sounds home features four rooms and two floors. The kitchen and living room are on the bottom floor, while the two bedrooms and a bathroom are on the top floor. The parts are tough enough to withstand some rough toddler handling. There’s not a lot of furniture arranging to be done here; only the table and three chairs are movable.
You can put all the pieces inside and still close the dollhouse. It also has a handle, too, making it great for portable play. The play spaces are relatively shallow so that the preschool set can easily reach all of the built-in furniture.
It’s one busy, happy home – and it's filled from floor to ceiling with great learning & fine motor activities for your toddler! The day starts when you press the alarm clock to flip Emma out of bed and hear fun sounds like “Rrring! ” Slide the bluebird to see the kitty pop up in the window on one side – and what the weather’s like on the other.
